Regional Sunday School Activities

The Sunday School of the Malankara Orthodox Churches participate in a variety of activities. Most churches display the talents of their students through the arrangement of  various church programs on major feasts of the church. Many local parishes also participate on taking their students to various Christian locations such as sister churches. The Sunday School program has also began talent searches where students compete against each other for the glorification of the Lord.

Sunday School Day will be celebrated in our Diocese on Sunday, December 5, 2010. The significance of this day is that it is the fourth Sunday during the season of Nativity in which we commemorate the Birth of St. John the Baptist. This day is celebrated as Children’s Day in our Church and thus it is also appropriate to celebrate as Sunday School Day in our Diocese.
