Dallas Area FOCUS members gather together for a lenten retreat on April 1st at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Farmers Branch as DS-WA FOCUS Director, Rev. Fr. Jake Kurian speaks about the significance of Holy Week."

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed” Proverbs 11:25. On April 22nd St. Mary's Farmers Branch FOCUS organized a volunteering event for all Dallas Area FOCUS members on behalf of Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. This MobilePack event held in Lewisville allowed volunteers to hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, which will then shipped around the world. The coordinators shared some touching videos of children who have been directly impacted by this organization, as well as having the volunteers pray before and after the event. We had a great turnout of over 20 FOCUS members from the Dallas area. Thank you to everyone who generously volunteered their time and labor! Our 2-hour shift alone produced enough meals to feed 90 CHILDREN for 1 YEAR! We also collected donations from our churches for FMSC on behalf of FOCUS. It was a wonderful experience to make such a tangible impact on the lives of so many underprivileged children. We appreciate everyone who supported this worthy cause and looks forward to doing this service project again next year.
