Conference Theme: The Home: A Church
St. Luke 19:9 “ Today, Salvation has come to this house”
This theme is based upon St John Chrysostom’s commentary on 1 Corinthians 16:19 where he explains that each household is a mini church.With this theme we hope to focus on strengthening family life, particularly amidst contemporary struggles like social media. The theme verse is also found in the Service of the Blessing of a Home,and provides an opportunity to explore the sacramental life as well.

Registration Kick-Off
The 2015 Diocesan Family & Youth Conference Registration Kickoff was held at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Carrollton, Texas on Sunday December 28th, 2014. Diocesan Metropolitan, His Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius received the initial registrations from all local area parishioners and inaugurated the registration. Rev. Fr. Dr. Varghese Varghese, is a priest of the Kottayam Diocese. Achen's home parish is at St. George Church, Meenadom, Kottayam. Achen completed his Seminary education at the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam and was ordained as a priest of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in 1995.
After completing his Master’s degree in both English and Syriac languages from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, Achen earned his PhD from M.G University in Syriac Literature Studies.
Achen is a renowned speaker, and currently serves as the General Secretary of MGOCSM India. Achen is the Vicar at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Pangada, Kottayam and also serves as the Lecturer in Ancient linguistics at St. Ephrem Research Institute (SEERI).
Achen's past positions are: PRO and Media Secretary of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church from 2006-2009 and OCYM General Secretary of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church from 2003-2007.

Registration is open now. Last day of registration will be Friday May 15th 2015 .
Registration Cost
$190 per adult and $95 ( 3-10 years old ) per child for Conference Registration. There is an additional cost of $390 per family for those wishing to stay at the hotel.
