Saturday June 15 , 2013 - His Grace Zachariah Mar Theophilus - Medical condition updates from Diocesan Center , Houston

It is with great joy that we see Theophilos Thirumeni`s physical condition is improving rapidly. Over the course of the last week, his Foley Catheter has been removed and Thirumeni is able to move and use the restroom of his own ability.

With the catheter removed, Theophilos Thirumeni has become much more mobile allowing him to climb upstairs to pray in the chapel during morning and evening prayers. Thirumeni uses a cane to assist him as he walks; however, doctors are thoroughly satisfied with his level of improvement in both this matter and his health.

Thirumeni is regularly undergoing physical therapy and the pain in his left knee is reducing; and we pray all of the pain is removed at the earliest. In the last couple of weeks, his blood sugar level and blood pressure have both been consistently maintained in the proper range. All Glory to God!

With the doctor`s approval, His Grace has decided to return to Calicut, India on July 1, 2013 and will reach Mount Hermon Aramana on July 3, 2013.

Please continue to keep Theophilus Thirumeni in your prayers for an expeditious recovery.
