Shinto David (St. Gregorios Church, Detroit) new student at St. Tikhon's Seminary

South Canaan,PA : The 2010 academic year at St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary began this year on August 30th, Monday. Mr. Shinto David, member of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Detroit, was one of the new students who had enrolled for the new academic year. The seminary is located in South Canaan, in Pennsylvania. Many of our current deacons(from both North East and South West American dioceses) have links with the seminary, including, Dn. Jacob Kurian and Dn. Diju Skariah, who graduated this year from the seminary.

Mr. Shinto's parents are Mr. & Mrs. Daniel and Alice David and their home parish in Kerala is St. George Malankara Orthodox Church, Ellimullinpalackal, Konni. Prior to joining the seminary, Shinto has completed his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration (BSCJA). He also worked at the Diocesan office of South West America, under the Diocesan Metropolitan. He assisted the Diocesan Metropolitan with all daily administration affairs from Nov 2009 to June 2010.
